What’s new: Mid-2025 point

We’re halfway through the year, and the new features and improvements to our platform just keep coming. Whether you’re already using floq, our event management platform, or exploring what we offer, these new features aim to simplify event organisation, strengthen engagement, and improve inclusivity. Let’s take a look at what’s new.
Audio Captions: listen to the live captions
This year marks a very determined and rewarding effort to make our platform accessible in as many ways as possible. We have added an accessibility feature that provides users with yet another option to access event content in the way that is most comfortable for them.
If you’re using captions in the mobile app, you can now have them read aloud in any of the supported languages. On the caption screen, simply tap “Listen to captions”, and audio playback will start in the selected language.
Benefit: This feature supports attendees who are blind, have low vision, or prefer audio over text. It also reduces screen fatigue and makes following along easier for everyone, especially during longer sessions.
Leads tab on the Exhibitor Dashboard
Exhibitors can now track their contacts more easily. A new Leads tab is available in the Exhibitor Dashboard for invited representatives. It shows all incoming contact requests, confirmed contacts, and those collected by colleagues.
You can search by name, filter by contact status (sent or accepted), and export the list to a .csv file for your CRM or internal tools.
Benefit: Exhibitors stay on top of their leads without having to collect them manually or chase follow-up emails after the event.
Improved attendee important and template options
We’ve made it easier to import and manage your attendee data via Excel. The import screen now clearly shows:
- What each tab refers to
- Where to download templates
- Where to view import logs
You’ll also notice smarter behaviour: when syncing programme channels alongside Excel uploads, your classification data won’t be overwritten. You can still update manually edited entries by new Excel imports without losing integrity.
Benefit: Better control and clarity when managing large amounts of data — no more guessing what’s happening behind the scenes.
Barcode scanning now available
You can now link external barcodes (like the ones printed on badges) to user profiles. A new tab, Scan a card, has been added to the Contacts page in the mobile app.
Once barcodes are linked through attendee sync, scanning a badge will instantly open that person’s profile in the app.
Benefit: Quick and seamless profile access at busy events, perfect for networking and lead capture without the need to manually search or exchange details.
Accessibility Statement now live
Our platform complies fully with the European Accessibility Act requirements. We published a formal Accessibility Statement that outlines our commitment to digital inclusion on our website Terms and Conditions.
What this means for you: Whether you’re hosting a large conference or a smaller society event, you can be confident that your attendees, regardless of level of physical ability, can participate in an accessible, compliant environment.
Our platform is always evolving and improving
In short, we’re adding new features and improvements that make Floq more powerful, more inclusive, and more user-friendly. From accessible audio captions to barcode scanning and lead tracking, each update is designed to enhance both organiser and attendee experiences.
Stay tuned for what’s next — we’re already working on more improvements for the coming months.
